Prophylaxis

Preventive care routines, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and periodontal disease prevention, to maintain oral health.

Severe dental problems often stem from multiple causes, making prevention key. Regular dental visits can save time, money, and stress. The steps in a preventive care routine include:

  • Regular dental check-ups, cleanings, and specialized consultations

  • Cavity prevention for children, including sealing and fluoride treatments, and plaque detection

  • Fluoride treatments to prevent cavities for both children and adults with sensitive teeth

  • Oral hygiene tips, brushing techniques, and diet recommendations (including moderated sugar consumption)

  • Deep cleaning, including under-gum curettage for patients with periodontal issues

  • Periodontal disease (such as gum bleeding, inflammation, gum recession, and tooth mobility) can be prevented if caught early

  • Panoramic X-rays

  • Computer tomography (CBCT)

  • Digital scanning
